Nexus G1 6K Cinema Camera Opens Preorders, Showcases Modular Upgrades

The Nexus G1 6K cinema camera, built on the Blackmagic Pocket 6K sensor, is now open for preorder ahead of its Q3 2025 launch. Featuring a stylish boxy design, it records 6K up to 50 fps and 2.8K at 120 fps in Blackmagic RAW or ProRes formats, with dual-gain ISO and 13.4 stops of dynamic range. The camera runs on NexusOS—a custom, intuitive operating system—and supports lens focus, iris, and zoom control via its modular Nexus Grip. Available in the Founders Edition at $2,980 (regular $3,300), it includes the body, 5″ control monitor, power options, and DaVinci Resolve license.
