Weigel Launching WEST This Fall: A 24/7 Diginet for Classic TV Westerns

Weigel Broadcasting is introducing WEST (Western Entertainment Series Television), a new over-the-air digital multicast network dedicated entirely to classic TV westerns, launching this fall on its own stations. The initial lineup will feature fan favorites like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Maverick, Rawhide, The Virginian, Wagon Train, and The Wild Wild West. WEST marks Weigel’s tenth national broadcast network, joining MeTV, MeTV Toons, Start TV, Heroes & Icons, Catchy Comedy, MeTV+, Story Television, Dabl, and Movies! The move responds to strong demand from affiliates and audiences for Western series, with more carriage deals expected beyond Weigel-owned stations.
