NBC Sports has brought back a familiar name to lead its Olympic primetime coverage. Betsy Riley, who’s been with NBC on and off since 2002, is now officially the Senior Vice President and Coordinating Producer for NBC Olympics. She’ll oversee primetime programming starting with the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy. Riley most recently worked at Amazon Prime Video, helping launch key sports properties like Thursday Night Football, the 2023 Black Friday NFL game, and NWSL coverage—all while continuing to freelance with NBC, including on the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Riley’s no stranger to the Games. She’s contributed to nine Olympics for NBC, made history as the first woman to produce Olympic track and field (Rio 2016), and has worked on NFL coverage, Super Bowl LVI, and Triple Crown campaigns. An eight-time Sports Emmy winner and Notre Dame alum, Riley is known for her wide range and leadership in sports production. With her back in the mix full-time, NBC is gearing up to take its Olympic storytelling to the next level.
