ABC News is giving “Nightline” a birthday glow-up. To celebrate the late-night news show’s 45th anniversary, the network rolled out a refreshed visual identity, complete with a new set, revamped graphics, and an updated sound.
One of the biggest nods to its past? The return of the classic logo that viewers will recognize from the 1998–2017 era — a clean, condensed sans serif with a subtle emphasis on the word “line.” It’s a simple but nostalgic touch for a show that’s been around nearly half a century.
The updates don’t stop there. The open, bumpers, and rejoins now feature moody, gold-and-teal-tinted shots of New York City at night, woven together with swirling bursts of light and floating orbs that give it a sleek, modern vibe. It’s still very much “Nightline,” just with a sharper edge.
